Now The Real Work Begins

You know enough to know how much you don't know yet. One session you feel confident — the next, you're second-guessing every intervention. It feels overwhelming, but you're right where you need to be.

The hours ahead of you matter. But more than checking a box, this stretch of your career is when your clinical identity forms. The supervision you receive during this time will shape how you think about clients, how you show up in the room, and who you become as a therapist.

Complex Trauma - EMDR - DBT - Mindfulness - Dissociation - Attachment

Hi! I'm Dakota.

I’m an LPC-MHSP, NCC, and a Tennessee-designated supervisor for pre-licensed LPCs working toward full licensure. I’m co-owner and lead psychotherapist at Mind The Gap in Murfreesboro, where I work with clients from age 5 through older adulthood, and I co-direct the FoundBetween Training Institute, which offers advanced continuing education for clinicians.

My clinical work centers on complex trauma, dissociation, chronic pain, self-harm, and neurodivergence. I draw from DBT, EMDR, ACT, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Deep Brain Reorienting, and I’ve been teaching mindfulness for years, including presenting trainings nationally.

In supervision, I want you to feel supported and challenged. We’ll focus on case conceptualization, ethical decision-making, and building real confidence with high-acuity clients, especially around trauma and self-harm, where new clinicians often feel most alone. I also care about how you’re doing as a person. This work asks a lot of us, and learning to stay grounded and present is part of becoming a skilled therapist.

If you’re looking for a supervisor who brings both depth and warmth, I’d love to connect.

- Our Supervision Philosophy -

Good supervision is about more than meeting hour requirements. It's a formative experience! One that shapes how you think, how you sit with your clients, and who you become as a clinician. At FoundBetween, we're here to help you grow into an ehical, competent, and effective therapist with your own unique voice and style.

We don't want to make you a copy of us! We want to walk alongside you as you develop the confident, well-informed approach that is distinctly yours.
